Tree Top Hospital, in
partnership with Villa College, has successfully conducted two advanced medical
workshops. These sessions, part of the International Medical Education and
Research Conference (IMERC) 2025, provided specialized training to 36 healthcare
professionals.
Tree Top Hospital successfully hosted a two-day series of specialized medical
workshops on November 3rd and 4th, 2025, featuring leading international
experts from the Mayo Clinic. The event commenced with a Point-of-Care
Ultrasound (POCUS) workshop led by Dr. Eric Leveille, M.D., M.P.H., Instructor
of Family Medicine at Mayo Clinic. Following opening remarks from Dr. Kanchan
Dhungel Adhikari, Consultant Radiologist and Head of Radiology at Tree Top
Hospital, Dr. Leveille covered the fundamental principles and clinical
applications of bedside ultrasound.
The second day featured
an Interventional Radiology workshop conducted by Dr. Haraldur Bjarnason, M.D.,
a renowned Radiologist and Vascular Medicine Specialist. Introduced by the Tree
Top Hospital Radiology department and featuring insights from Dr. Rayya Ahmed
Siddiq, Organizer of IMERC and Consultant in Vascular Medicine at Mayo Clinic,
the session provided hands-on training in key procedures. These included
managing post-CABG femoral artery pseudoaneurysm, peripheral vascular Doppler
assessment, ultrasound-guided vascular access, and vascular mapping for
dialysis. These collaborative workshops with Mayo Clinic reflect Tree Top
Hospital's ongoing commitment to advancing clinical skills and improving
healthcare through continuous professional development.
