In a dedicated effort to promote women’s health across the Maldives, Tree Top Hospital successfully conducted a comprehensive Breast Cancer Awareness session for the team members of Kuredu Island Resort & Spa on 17th October 2025, Friday.
The initiative, held in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, sought to foster meaningful dialogue on breast health and equip the resort's team members with practical knowledge for early detection and prevention.
The program featured two sessions, one in the morning and one in the evening, accommodating different work schedules and ensuring wider participation. Approximately 30 attendees took part in the informative events.
The awareness session was led by a team of medical officers from Tree Top Hospital, including Dr. Aishath Rifqa Shahid and Dr. Aishath Maariya. Their expertise provided attendees with accurate and essential health information.
The event included several key activities:
• A health talk and seminar focusing on the importance of breast cancer prevention, how to perform self-checks, and the critical role of early detection.
• An information booth stocked with educational pamphlets and materials for staff to read and share.
• A practical self-check demonstration for female colleagues, utilizing instructional videos to ensure clarity in performing the techniques correctly.
