Department of Cardiology

The Department of Cardiology at Tree Top Hospital diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions of the heart and vascular system with advanced equipment and compassionate care. Within the department, an emphasis is placed on improving survival rates and quality of life following heart attacks, heart failure, or heart rhythm disorders.

In addition to these, our Cardiologists are concerned with understanding disease process and prevention. Through the Department of Cardiology, the following services are provided to our Guests:

Interventional Cardiology

Within the Department of Cardiology, our practitioners practice interventional cardiology - which is the non-surgical option which utilizes catheters to repair damaged vessels, arteries, or other parts of the heart. 

Through interventional cardiology, our Doctors can provide exceptional treatments for the  following conditions:

Preventative Care and Comprehensive Screening

In the Maldives, the leading cause of death among men and women is heart disease. As the symptoms of heart disease are often unnoticeable, our Doctors advocate for regular heart screening for those with risk factors.
